Flour Buds Bakery in Nyack

Well it took a while but Flour Buds in Nyack has finally opened its doors.  The all natural and gluten free bakery had a soft opening last week, and is currently open with limited hours.  Flour Buds is located at 116 Main Street in Nyack at the corner of Main Street and Park Street.

It all began in the home-kitchen of the founder Pam Goldberg and has since expanded into this great new Nyack baking facility.  Pam graduated from the renowned chef's training program at The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts.  The program's philosophy is that food is healthiest and most beneficial to our bodies when eaten fresh. local and seasonal.

What's great about Flour Buds is that they don't just have these baked and savory goods delivered.  They actually prepare all the delicious food on the premises.

When I rented the space to Pam and her husband, all they had to work with was an empty space with no character.  Well, they had a vision and saw it through.  They poured their heart and soul into this project along with a significant financial investment.  And the finished product is truly amazing.  Their bakery has a clean, elegant, and stylish feel.  Their equipment is top of the line.  And most importantly, their ingredients are of the finest all natural and organic quality.

They have a unique selection of sweet tasty treats including pumpkin whoopie pies, vanilla cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, Linzer tarts, blueberry crumb pie, and of course cakes and cookies.  And don't think they only do sweet.  They also provide savory items like freshly baked herb rolls, oatmeal challah, soups, pizza, paninis, quiche, and more.

All of their products are :

 * Natural and Organic

 * Trans-Fat Free

 * Preservative Free

 * Soy Free

 * Gluten Free

They also offer daily selections of vegan, dairy-free, casein free, corn free, and sugar free. However, Flour Buds is not a peanut free facility.

Pam and her husband are putting in 16 hour days to make this new Nyack bakery a success.  With many Nyack businesses struggling to keep their doors open, it is refreshing and inspiring to see brave entrepreneurs like Pam and her husband staying optimistic and positive and fulfilling their bakery dreams.

So let us all support them and go and get ourselves some yummy freshly baked goods.
